PASG Press Release - April 8, 2026 (Issue #01)
Important New Book from Charles C. Thomas, Publisher
This is the first press release from the Parental Alienation Study Group (PASG). We will be posting releases on a monthly basis on timely topics related to parental alienation (PA). We may post other statements in response to events or publications that call out for an immediate response from us.
Our goal is to inform and educate the public regarding PA so as to minimize the impact of misinformation and disinformation in the arena.
Today, we are introducing a new book by Dr. Alan D. Blotcky and Dr. William Bernet, entitled Parental Alienation for Families and Practitioners: Q&A. Dr. Blotcky is on the Board of Directors of PASG, and Dr. Bernet is a Founder and Past President of PASG and he remains on the Board of Directors.
This book is published by Charles C. Thomas Ltd and can be purchased on its website (ccthomas.com) or on Amazon (amazon.com). Charles C Thomas is the preeminent publisher of.books on PA, and an article on that company will be featured in the May issue of Parental Alienation International, PASG’s bi-monthly newsletter.
Parental Alienation for Families and Practitioners: Q&A is unique and creative in four distinct ways. First, it is a short and concise book that is written with families and practitioners in mind. It can be read in one or two sittings, and its content is meant to be easily understood. Second, each chapter in the book is organized around specific questions that have been posed to the authors during their careers. This makes all the content relevant, focused, and relatable. Third, more than 50 fictional clinical and legal case vignettes are presented to illustrate points and themes in each chapter. Fourth, and perhaps most interesting, the book contains 18 color or black-and-white drawings from actual children who were alienated to one degree or another. These drawings are poignant, touching, and impactful in understanding the emotional reactions of children to the PA process in their lives.
Other PA books by Charles C Thomas have been published recently, including Parental Alienation Theory: Official Synopsis by PASG and Parenting the Alienated Child: Reconnecting with Lost Hearts by PASG member Loretta Maase, MA, LPC.
